Stéphane Cherix is a seasoned financial executive with a proven track record of driving growth, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance in global organizations across the life sciences sector.


From 2020 to 2024, Stéphane served as Head of Finance at Ichnos Sciences in Lausanne, Switzerland. In this pivotal role, he orchestrated the company's successful spin-off from Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, establishing Ichnos as an independent biotech entity headquartered in New York. His key achievements include implementing SAP ByDesign globally, supporting IPO readiness, and instituting robust governance, processes, and internal controls to meet stringent audit requirements. Additionally, he shaped the global financial planning and analysis (FP&A) function, optimizing resource allocation and cash flow management during a challenging economic climate.


Prior to Ichnos, Stéphane held the position of Director of Finance and Commercial Operations at Genomic Health in Geneva, Switzerland (2011-2019). There, he spearheaded the company's international expansion, successfully establishing five new affiliates outside the United States. His responsibilities included managing relationships with international distributors, overseeing accounting and controlling operations, and leading international customer service and reimbursement teams.


From 2010 to 2012, Stéphane served as CFO Europe for Mustad Group, where he managed the financial lifecycle across six legal entities, implemented a new group reporting system, and optimized the company's tax planning and business structure.


At Ferring Pharmaceuticals (2006-2010), Stéphane was Head of Group Financial Applications. He oversaw the deployment of an ERP solution across more than 35 legal entities, streamlining key processes and achieving significant cost reductions.


Stéphane's career in the life sciences industry began at Covance, where he served as Controller for Europe from 2001 to 2006. In this capacity, he directed all finance activities across the EMEA region and successfully integrated a major acquisition in the Netherlands.
Before transitioning to the corporate sector, Stéphane spent eight years in the humanitarian field with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), laying the foundation for his diverse and impactful career in finance and operations management.
